Today I hit the Little Pete’s end of the North Shore trail at Grapevine Lake in hopes of one day becoming as in mountain bike shape as Brian Lighthill, noted sports enthusiast. At one point I stopped to take a break and check the time when I noticed a little stone in the ground with some writing on it. Oddly enough, it was put there by M.A.D.D. (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving) in memory of some dude.
Do I need to point out that this is on a mountain bike trail? Do people ride drunk? And did this dude have a fatal mountain bike accident while drunk?

hey, all you sober, no-driving Milfs out there….keep your shit off the trails, will ya? my boy, doan, could’ve crashed right into this ‘death cookie’ (nice mountain bike slang, huh?) and joined whoever the hell it is they were memorializing.
DP, I also really like the devil-horn, universal rock’n'roll symbol with your gloved hand….there’s just something funny about that and your bike sitting atop this ‘memorial’….HAA!!
time to carve some gonzo lines…..OWT.
