This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. Partly because I dream about flying without the aid of anything other than my arms, but do yourself a favor and watch this video.
Just like this blog, there is a cool tool to play with called StumbleUpon. What is it? It is a time waste that’s just like grabbing a universal remote that allows you to program any website into it by the simple click of a button. Once you program it, anyone else that uses StumbleUpon, can also access your new “web channel”.
Now that I’ve painted the picture, just like I painted the toilet today (:|), lets talk about what you see when you pull out your e-remote. When setting up the toolbar on your browser, you initially tell it what your interests are. This lets it show you websites you like, that other “stumblers” have programmed. It can be a website in general or it can be a page, document, video or image too. To operate it, you just click the “Stumble” button on the toolbar and it will take you to a random site in your chosen categories.
The great part about this time waste is, the internet is full of very cool things and we probably only see a very small percentage of everything out there and this thing helps us see more of things we really like. I’m trying to figure out how to get this thing working in the bathroom so instead of reading the US Magazine, I can sit on the throne and stumble around the net. StumbleUpon, if you ever make this an option and it makes you huge, come talk to me because I have more ideas.
